La Favorite in Munich

For three performances on February 25 and 28, and March 3, Clémentine Margaine stars as Léonor in Donizetti’s gran opera, La Favorite. The production by Amélie Niermeyer also features Matthew Polenzani, who sings Fernand, and Ludovic Tézier as Alphonse XI.

Her Favorite was acclaimed by the critics when she sung a concert version in Marseille. Emmanuel Andrieu, for Opera online, said of this performance “Margaine se construit, en supplément d’âme, une Léonor inspirée, soutenue, émouvante. Bref, aboutie, la chanteuse s’impose, magnifiquement.”
