Clémentine Margaine has been invited to perform at this year’s Festival Berlioz, which takes place at the Courtyard of the Château Louis XI in La Côte-Saint-André, France. Ms. Margaine will sing Berlioz’s La Captive, a setting of Victor Hugo, which began life as a song with piano, composed in Rome in 1832, and which Berlioz orchestrated two years later. François-Xavier Roth will conduct the Orchestre Les Siècles in a program that will include not only works by Berlioz but also Ravel and Saint-Saëns among others.
