In her 2017/18 opera season, Ms. Margaine returns to her signature roles, and explores new repertoire with performances throughout Europe, the United States, and Australia. Her season begins with the role of Marguerite in Berlioz’ La damnation de Faust at the National Bucharest Opera. Ms. Margaine premiered this role in 2015 at Deutsche Oper Berlin, and makes her National Bucharest Opera house debut in September 2017 as Marguerite. Returning to her native France, Ms. Margaine continues her season with the role of Léonor de Guzman in Donizetti’s La Favorite at Opéra Marseille.  Ms. Margaine will star as Léonor at two additional venues in the 2017/18 season: the Bayerische Staatsoper and the Gran Teatre del Liceu.  Carmen, one of her signature roles, is also featured several times in this season with performances at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and Theatre du Capitole.  She sings Concepción in Ravel’s L’heure espagnole at Opéra national de Paris in the spring of 2018.

Concert performances include a tour of the United States in February of 2018, singing Poème de l’Amour et la Mer by Chausson, with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Riccardo Muti.
